Starfish Award

Aeden was one of four students in his NJHS chapter to earn the Starfish Award for going above and beyond in service hours.

He was awarded a certificate at the induction ceremony tonight.

Jeeves the Butler

Aeden was Jeeves the Butler in his drama club play.

5ft 1in

I measured Aeden on a whim tonight.  He is now up to 5 feet 1 inch in height.

Lexile Shmexile

Aeden came home this week with the astounding news that he has a lexile of 1292.  He had grown by almost 150 points this year.  Apparently he can comprehend text difficulty at 10th thru 12th grade levels.

We are very proud and astounded...with good reason.  We had the following conversation less than 10 minutes ago.

A: Can I have a cranberry egg?

C: A what?

A: a canberry egg?

C: A what?

A: You know, a care bear egg.

E: I don't think you should be eating care bear eggs.

A: What are they called?

E: Why don't you look at the package?

A: I can't read it, it is in cursive...cudbury egg?

(Sigh) Perhaps the boy should work on functional print.

6 hours 22 minutes--from official start time

This year the Easter Bunny hid 12 eggs and many decoys (empty eggs).

The decoy eggs were quickly found but the last egg wasn't found until 7:19 pm...with lots of problem solving help from Dad!

The last egg was found in a bag of frozen burritos.
