Thank You
Yesterday marked Aeden's 1/2 birthday...he is now 12.5 years old.

Saturday marked the original ending date of Aeden's grounding which started on New Year's Eve.
Sunday marked the end of extension one on the grounding.
Today marked the actual end of his grounding.
We have fully entered the talking back, disrespect, my parents don't understand me, why don't they just let me do (or not do as the case might be) whatever I want because I know all stage of Aeden's life. It is really easy to feel like a failure as a parent.
With that in mind, I would like to thank the barista at Starbucks, the random customer at Mama's Pizza, and the nice guy at the convention center. In the past couple of weeks these individuals have each approached Eric and I to let us know what a polite, kind, thoughtful, intelligent kid Aeden is. There have been other random strangers who have complimented us on Aeden's behavior and attitude, many of them pointing out to us that he is a rarity among kids these days.
These comments are what help me to remember, during those parenting fail moments, that we are doing something right as parents.
