We went back to the Bennington Battle Monument so that we could ride the elevator to the top and see three different states!

Contingent upon...

When we first told Aeden we were moving he was dead set against it. He had no plans to move. In fact, he refused to talk about it until March. Then he presented us with a list of demands:

If you can't read the image they are as follows:

Things to get when we move:

  • T.V. In my room

  • phone book to all my friends "and address book"

  • 3DS

  • Mario Jenga

  • Workshop room "to make armor and swords"

  • bed

  • a Mario poster

  • ten packs of cards "any type"

  • 2 floor room (see illustration)

  • deck

  • decent room

  • all my other stuff that I had before (note this one is starred)

  • wide bathroom that has a shower

  • 10 pounds of water "for me, popsicle, and Blue"

  • Turky and cat food "for cat"

  • a top hat

  • 20 pounds of seafood "like fish" "most likely 10-15

Unfortunately for Aeden, Dad isn't likely to give in on many of the demands. Fortunately for us, Aeden is becoming adjusted to the idea that we are moving and although not thrilled, is at least not claiming that he is staying here. ;)

Happy Mother's Day

Aeden has been a little touchy lately, definitely trying to get extra attention and not enjoying when the attention is on others.

Case in point: I have scanned in images of my Mother's Day present from Aeden.

A book of worst drawings created by Aeden using recycled paper.

A spaceship human.
A wacky house, the type he never wants to live in.

A picture of the kind of house he does NOT want to have in AZ.

The back...

It says:

Go to Micra soft word and then go to the file www.Aedenstore.com and it will tell you what you can buy, the prices, and mark a X if you want to purcase it?

includes:

*free shipping

*coupons daily

You can purcase lessons and new stuff likes books and get to look at my Puck comics (which you have to pay for.

He also gave this gift of 30 draw tickets for use in his Kung Fu classes. The classes where he will teach me Kung Fu, despite the fact that he has NEVER had a martial arts class. The closest he has ever experienced it is in the movie, The Karate Kid.

I must say, he gets points for cleverness, but perhaps not so much for thoughtfulness and thinking of what the gift receiver might want.

*All typed text on scanned images were added by me and dictated by Aeden.

Birthday Survey

Aeden gave me a two-part survey for my birthday.

The first part has questions on it:
1. When is a flower really a flower?
2. Solved 83 x 0 / 5 / 63 - 50 /2 x 105 - 2 + 3 does not equal ?
then 83 x 0 / 5 / 63 - 50 / 2 x 105 - 2 + 3 = ?

Then he gave me lots of work space to solve these problems.

The second part is a piece of paper, folded in half like a book.

The front page says:

The Prize Booklet: Take this or leave it!
Booklet is about money

Then the rest of the book says*:
Page 2
If you had enoug money that you could spend, would you buy the first thing you see that yo want?

FILL IN HERE! ---> o yes ---> o no

You can only fill in one in the whole booklet

Page 3
If you filled in Yes...About how much money did you spend over 36 years? ________

you can fill in the nexts page

Page 4
If you filled in No...about what was the highest amount you saved up to buy something? _____

you can fill in the page before this

36 years old

Flowers using a macro lens...

Surprise birthday balloons from a friend of mine.
Surprise possum at Best Buy. I guess they wouldn't let him buy anything.

I asked Riley what kind of cake I should make and she said "chocolate with brown frosting" so I made a German Chocolate Cake. There were so many candles that they were fluttering audibly and there was a lot of smoke in the kitchen afterward.

Eric and I spent the day together and it was fabulous. Thanks honey!

Spring has finally sprung!

Spring has finally arrived...

Dandelions, one of my favorites!

Phlox, or at least I think that is what it is...

Wild strawberries
