We spent a lovely, quiet, family-oriented New Year's Eve at home. It seems like we are all three so busy these days with jobs, home responsibility, and school that we don't get a chance to just stop and spend time together.
We painted Aeden's room a sky blue color that is very reminiscent of Super Mario Bros. blue. Then Santa brought Aeden some HUGE Super Mario Bros. decals for his walls. Eric and Aeden spent some time together putting them on the wall.
Here are the finished results. 
The other walls in Aeden's room are covered in posters of Pokemon, Zelda, and Mario.We also made our gingerbread houses on the 31st this year.
Here is my lovely pink manger scene complete with marshmallow snowman people and circus animal camels.
We were proud of Aeden, he didn't just overload his creation with so much candy that it collapsed. His house has an enclosed backyard and some lovely animals in the front yard.
Here is Eric's creation. I think his precision and creativity are lovely. :)
We also ate junk food, popped Christmas crackers, and fiddled with an antennae so we could get a channel that showed the ball dropping at midnight our time. All-in-all it was a fabulous NYE!
