The Blink of an Eye

Nine years ago Eric and I left Aeden with a friend of ours while we headed to Kindergarten Parent Information Night.

We sat together and listened to the teachers and principal tell us all the wonderful things that happen at their school. After the presentation the principal gave us a tour of the school where we saw all the wonderful reasons our child should attend that particular elementary school.

Tonight Eric had to work, so Aeden and I headed to Future Freshman night without him.  We sat together and listened to teachers, administration, and current students tell us all the wonderful things that happen at their school.  After the presentation Freshman mentors gave us a tour of the school and we were able to listen and talk to various individuals who shared with us the reasons Aeden should attend that high school.

The parallels brought tears to my eyes.

Aeden and I went to Future Freshman night at the high school he is planning on attending.

Taiyou Convention

For Christmas we gave A the gift of experience and told him we would take him to an anime convention. He LOVED it!

Eric "Gourry" Stuart

The highlight of the anime convention was meeting the voice actor who does Gourry from Slayers. Gourry is the character that A was named after. We had no idea he was going to be there and I might have gone super fan girl when we discovered it.
