Bad Kitty

November 22, 2003

Okay, so background information. I have an 11 year old cat who avoids Aeden like the plague. Smart cat.

When the cat happens to get in Aeden's sight, he proceeds to chase after the poor thing yelling, "NO, NO, NO" repeatedly until the cat manages to find a hiding place.

Now to my story.

Aeden has this little black cat finger puppet (from Starbucks) that he hasn't seen in months. He relocated it last night and brought it to me saying "NO, NO, NO". I showed him how to play with it and then he took it from me again, saying No repeatedly.

Okay, no big deal. I went back to reading my book. A few minutes later the dryer was finished so I went to check the clothes. I happened to look over and see the little black kitty puppet in time-out (yellow chair against wall).

I asked Aeden if the kitty was in time-out.

Aeden: "Uh-huh."

Me: "Well what did the kitty do?"

Aeden: "No, no, no Smack!. "

Me: "Did the kitty smack?"

Aeden: "Uh-huh, No, no, no."

Me: "Oh okay."

At that point I turn to walk away and see him lean over to cradle the puppet in his hands saying "Hug?".

Catch the Moon...

November 8, 2003.
___________________

Aeden and I went to the grocery store on Thursday night. On the way there we saw the lovely, bright, huge moon. So Aeden and I were talking about it and enjoying it. When we got out of the car he told it No! (not sure why) then started trying to jump up and get it.

That prompted me to explain that it is too far away to reach and it would take a long time to get it. I also told him he had to have a space ship to reach the moon.

Flash forward to later that night. Aeden was watching his new favorite Wiggles DVD, Wiggles Space Dancing. I took the trash out to the curb and Aeden followed me. He noticed the moon again, and was trying to grab it. I explained to him (again) that you had to have a spaceship to get to the moon. I asked if he had a spaceship. His response: "No, Wuggles". He was telling me the Wiggles had a spaceship that could take him to the moon!

______________
Oh, another cute Aeden story. He was walking home from daycare with Eric. Daycare is a 5 minute toddler paced walk from our house. Eric said it took them about 30 minutes to get home. Why you ask?
Because Aeden has this slimy snakey that he would drop on the ground, then leave it there, when Eric leaned over to get it, Aeden would snatch and scream "No, Mine!". Then he would take a step and repeat the process! ROFL

Happy Halloween 2003

Sadly I was sick and Eric had to work so Aeden had to man the door and pass out the candy to all the trick-or-treaters.

Kitchen conversation

October 6, 2003

Aeden brings stool to sink. Climbs up and gets plastic cup. Trys to put it under the faucet.
Aeden "Mlk"
Mommy: "You mean water?"
Aeden:
Mommy: "Are you going to spill it?"
Aeden: "K"
Mommy: "No, I mean if I give it to you are you going to spill it?"
Aeden: "K"
Mommy resignedly goes over and puts a small amount of water in his cup. :D

Ug?

October 5, 2003

We were at Costco yesterday and Aeden was "helping" push the cart. We were standing in an aisle waiting for Eric to join us when we heard a little child crying.

Aeden got a really concerned look on his face, and said "ug?" (hug). I said yes the little girl probably needs a hug, and that her mommy was going to give her one. Aeden said "ug", and started running with his arms open as if to go give the girl a hug.

What a sweetie he is!
He is so loveable lately. Although most of my kisses are still "gucky", he will just come up to me and say ug, and give me a hug. :D

it and k

Before when Aeden wanted me to sit on the couch he would just pat the couch and I could pretend that I didn't see him. Now he says "it" and pats the couch. lol

His other new thing is to say "k" (okay) when you ask him to do something, or tell him something. This can be very funny!! He very seriously says "k".

Last night while I was making dinner, Aeden was "making" onions (dehydrated onions and he was adding water to them). He asked Eric for more water and Eric said "Are you going to spill it?". Aeden's response..."k". ROFL

Before Eric came in, I would tell Aeden to be careful not to spill the water and he would tell me "k"
