Ugh, Aeden has started licking me. My hands, my leg, my arm, my face. YUCK! Of course he is drooling, so it is all slobbery.
I try to tell him it is gross and put him away from me, but he just trys to do it some more, laughing the whole time.
I tried licking him and showing him it was gross...okay bad move, a 2-year-old boy is not going to think that is gross.
Then this evening he was on my lap and he would come at me with his mouth wide open (towards my face) when I would say no and turn my head, he would grab both sides of my face and turn it towards him (he is one strong booger butt). Then he would get really close like he was going to lick me, then stop and laugh histerically.

Fingerplays and other stuff
I am proud to say that Aeden is finally starting to say more single words.
His repertoire now includes: at (hat), owside (outside), eg (egg), dri (drink), uh (up), ups (oops), uh-uh-oh (self-explanatory). I am sure there are others but I can't think of them right now.
Oh, and he is doing more with his mouse on his computer (verus randomly kicking the keyboard in order to make the program work). lol
And when you do fingerplays (Thumpkin, hickory-dicory-dock, twinkle-twinkle, etc) he moves his hands trying to imitate the movements.
And if he has something he isn't supposed to he hides it behind his back. Yesterday he grabbed something, when I asked for it, he put it behind his back, and ran. Of course I was behind him so I could see it...lol but he didn't know that.
He is also using his chairs to climb everywhere, including my lap and has developed a major interest in locking and unlocking doors.

Snore
April 11, 2003
Yesterday Aeden and I were watching Friends, and then I watched Scrubs while Aeden "colored" in his new talking Elmo write-on, wipe-off book (a present from my mil). Towards the end of scrubs I decided it was time to take and put the pen up. To distract him I pretended to go to sleep (i.e. I laid down, said shhh sleeping and started "snoring".) then I would wake up and roar (we love to roar).
Aeden started laying down and blowing air out of his mouth as he pretended to "snore"! lol It was so cute, then he would sit up (not an easy feat with one arm in the cast) roar, and when I said shh sleeping he would lay down and "snore". He even transferred the game when I went into the office. He is so clever (and physical)

Foward facing
March 26, 2003
I turned Aeden's carseat around in the parking lot. Boy you would have thought I had killed the child. I expected him to be happy but no! He is adjusting and I am happy, I can now reach him, and see him.
note: He is over 20 pounds and has been for a couple of months. :)

Aeden books
March 24, 2003
Aeden picks out his books, I am just not allowed to read them. The joke in our family is that when you try to read a book you get the first, third and then the end with Aeden! lol
I think the reason Aeden does so well with the Froggy ones is all the sound noises, I just read them, but I think they grab his attention back to the words (he loves looking at books).
