Dear Santa...
Dear Santa,
I've been fantastic outside of school. My overall grade is all over B. So next year, I should B smarter and get A better grade.
From,
Aeden

Trick-or-Treat 2011
Aeden has wanted to be Luffy the King of the Pirates for Halloween for a couple of years now. Unfortunately, it has always been too cold to go as Luffy. However, now that we live in Arizona, the "unseasonably" hot weather made Luffy the perfect costume idea.

Overheard: Trust your sources
Aeden was asking me questions about burning fat, exercise and why if you don't eat for awhile your body will store the fat instead of burning it.
However, every single time I tried to explain my thoughts on the matter he would step on my words (i.e. interrupt). After the third or fourth time I finally told him I wasn't going to answer him since he wasn't letting me finish.
His response was that it was okay because I was second or third on his list of people whose answers he trusts!
When asked whose answers he trusts the most (i.e. who was in 1st place) the answer was Dad!
Excellent...I fielded Aeden questions for the first 10 years, apparently it is now Eric's turn! :D

Overheard: Charming & Polite
Our public library charges you a $1 if you request a book and then neglect to pick it up from the library.
I had a book to pick up but wasn't sure when my time was up and whether I would be fined. After explaining this to Aeden his response was:
"It's okay, I will talk to them. I am charming!"
*****
At parent/teacher conferences his teacher was telling me various Aeden stories. All of his teachers agree that he has a great smile. Apparently one day she was talking to him and he got a certain smile on his face and she commented that he shouldn't think that just because he smiled he was going to get away with something.
According to her, his response was "Why not, it has worked before!"
*****
Aeden's school went to JA Biztown where they each had a job. Aeden applied and interviewed for Senior Teller, Mayor, and DJ. When the application asked whether he enjoyed working with other people he wrote "No, because they are always wrong."
He got the job of Senior Teller.
*****
When they arrived at JA Biztown, Aeden stepped easily into his role of Senior Teller. Apparently he was really polite and did the job very well. So well that the permanent JA Biztown employers were commenting to the teachers about how polite he was and what a great job he was doing! Yay Aeden!

Overheard: Equations
Aeden asked me today to help him invent an equation.
1) I have no idea even how to begin and I did ask him to explain how you go about inventing an equation...I still don't understand.
2) He asked the wrong parent!
3) We will take names and e-mail addresses of people willing to field these out-of-the-box thoughts of his. ;)
