How we spent the month of May:

Celebrating Mommy (aka Chrisi's) 35th Birthday

Why yes, that is a made from scratch very tasty pineapple upside down cake!

Practicing trying to raise one eyebrow...

Planting plants in the new "meadow". Unfortunately the plants then got fried with all the heat we had in May. Some of them are trying to muster through...others were enjoyed throughly by the natural wildlife (i.e. something ate the peppers and the mint!).

Took pictures, Chrisi took a picture a day all month long. Most of them were pretty sucky. :)

Aeden went to a Chinese Food Restaurant for the first time and learned that he isn't a fan...Mom and Dad thought it was pretty tasty though!

Super Mario Galaxy 2 was released. Aeden had to save his money for months in order to purchase a copy of the game. Then he had a marathon playing session.

The third graders had to get dressed up so they could put on a "concert" (all of 4 songs) for their parents.

We pulled up oak trees with the acorns still attached! They went to work with Chrisi to share with the Kindergarteners and then were 'saved' by somene willing to take them home.

A trip to Vermont proved to be fun and exciting!

There was a farmer's market in Vermont where Aeden tried something new.

Of course there was a LOT of time spent at Starbucks.

Ohio

As a special treat for Aeden we took him to visit his best friend in Ohio. It was a whirlwind trip that left all of us EXHAUSTED! It was well worth it though to see him playing, running around, and just enjoying himself.

The activity the boys did the most was play video games which I did not take a picture of, just picture two boys playing DS or Wii and you will be set. ;)

No pictures of us being thrilled to be home. The drive home (with stops) took 11 hours and 50 minutes.

Overheard: Lyme Disease

In health class they showed a video about Lyme Disease. Aeden came home worried and checking his body for bulls-eye rashes because as he said:

"I have lots of tics so I have to watch for rashes."

What the video apparently neclected to tell him was that the tick that causes lime disease is an insect, not a Tourette's tic.

Spring Soccer

Aeden is doing Spring Soccer for the first time. For 6-weeks the kids go and spend 1.5/2 hours on the field. They start with practice and then have a game immediately afterwards.

Aeden and Eric went outside and tossed the football around today.

Overheard

While bowling Aeden piped up that he had a plan if it asked for our high scores.

He said that he would put in "richpirate", Dad can put in "dredpirate" and mom can put in "princess butterfinger".

Happy Easter

Happy Easter!

Aeden had to find 38 eggs hidden around the house. Three of them were "special" eggs. Aeden looked in this bin several times before he found the yellow egg.

The yellow egg held a clue that (several hours later) led Aeden to find a hexbug inside a felt peep.

After 10.5 hours the final egg was found...it was the golden egg!

PEEPS! We had four different (3 sizes) peep garlands decorating the house this year.
